### Control Body (Su)
As a standard action, a vathugu can attempt to control the body of a living corporeal creature using one of its tendrils. With a successful touch attack, the affected creature takes 2d6 damage and the vathugu attempts to establish a connection. If successful, the tendril will detatch itself from the vathugu. If not, it will rip itself free from the target, dealing an additional 2d6 points of damage. Detached tendrils regrow over 24 hours. The presence of tendrils does not affect the vathugu's tentacle attacks. An affected creature can make a DC 21 Will save to resist the connection. On a failed save, the vathugu connects with the victim's mind, allowing it to share the target's senses, communicate telepathically, and control the movements and actions of the affected creature. This control is halting and limited. The vathugu cannot prevent the creature from taking purely mental actions. It cannot make an effected creature do any complex action or utilize spells, spell like abilities, or any abilities that are not a function of just body movements. While under direct control, the creature's base attack bonus is that of the vathugu, and their Strength and Dexterity modifiers are equal to the vathugu's Charisma modifier (+5). A creature can still controlled while unconsious or dying, but once slain, the effect is ended. The effect cannot be dispelled, but break enchantment can end the effect with a successful caster level check equal to the ability's save DC. Dispel evil, dispel chaos, or heal automatically ends the vathugu's control. The save DC is Charisma-based.
### Corrupting Touch (Su)
Any creature struck by a vathugu's tentacle attack must succeed at a DC 28 Fortitude save or take 2 points of Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution drain as his flesh and bones wither and rot away into a drippy fungous mess. The vathugu heals 5 points of damage each time it successfully uses corrupting touch against a creature, but it can only gain this healing once per creature per round. As a result, the vathugu generally tries to strike at as many different opponents with its tentacle attacks as it can. The save DC is Constitution-based.
### Stability (Ex)
A vathugu is remarkably stable on its feet and gains a +8 bonus on ability checks made to resist being bull rushed or tripped when standing on the ground (but not when climbing or otherwise not standing firmly on the ground).
