It takes 1 full round for a tree to uproot itself, after which it moves at a speed of 10 feet and fights as a treant (although it has only one slam attack and lacks the treant’s animation and rock-throwing abilities), gaining the treant’s vulnerability to fire. If the treant that animated it terminates the animation, moves out of range, or is incapacitated, the tree immediately takes root wherever it is and returns to its normal state. ### Bolster Treants (Sp) Once per day, an elder treant can lend some of its enormous energy to all treants and animated trees within 1 mile, gaining a +4 to attack rolls and saving throws. In addition, treants and animated trees do triple damage against objects instead of double. ### Half damage from Piercing (Ex) Piercing weapons deal only half damage to elder treants, with a minimum of 1 point of damage. ### Triple Damage against Objects (Ex) An elder treant who makes a full attack against an object or structure deals double damage. #### ecology **Terrain** Any forest, hill, mountains, and plains **Organization** Solitary or with grove of treants **Advancement** 51–150 HD (Colossal) Elder treants are huge varieties of living trees, sentientcreatures that look like the largest trees known, such asthe giant redwood sequoia.Peaceful by nature, elder treants combine features ofboth trees and humans. Like their smaller counterparts, elder treants hate evil and the unrestrained use of fire, considering themselves guardians of both trees and tre-ants alike. They are massive and ponderous, very slow toact but always acting with deliberation and purpose.Like treants, elder treants speak the language of tre-ants, plus Common and Sylvan.
