When a creature takes Constitution drain from wightfire, the shape of fire gains 5 temporary hit points for each point of Constitution drained. These temporary hit points last for up to one hour. Constitution drain from wightfire cannot be restored magically unless the caster succeeds on a DC 37 caster level check. ### Wightflame Aura (Su) Shapes of fire emit a 10-foot aura of wightfire. Undead in the area gain channel resistance +6 and fast healing 10, while creatures in the area (including undead) take 4d6 fire damage. ### Create Spawn (Su) Any humanoid slain by a shape of fire or its wightfire becomes a lavawight in 1d4 rounds. Lavawights are under the command of the shape of fire that created them and remain enslaved until its destruction. A shape of fire can have a number of enslaved spawn totaling at most double its own Hit Dice; any spawn it creates that would exceed this limit become free-willed undead. Lavawights do not possess any of the abilities they had in life. #### ecology **Terrain** Any **Organization** Solitary or gang (2-5) **Treasure** None **Advancement** 36–42 HD (Large); 43–70 HD (Huge) A shape of fire is a manifestation of white-hot malice, the spirit of one condemned in the afterlife to an eternity ofscorching damnation. A shape of fire appears to be a 10-foot-tall incorporeal humanoid made of wightfire, white-hot flames that crackle with searing energy. The only discernible feature of a shape of fire is its two red, piercing eyes. Shapes of fire are usually found far from the Material Plane, sometimes accompanied by an lavawight or two. ### Combat Shapes of fire prefer to close with their opponents, and use their step up and strike ability to ensure their prey does not escape. They are especially fond of harrying spellcasters, as magic is usually the only salvation of those the shadow of the void wish to see burn. ## Wightfire A lavawight generates a tenacious form of fire damage called wightfire. This greyish-white energy looks similar to fire, but is especially destructive to living flesh. Fire resistance and immunity do not apply to this damage unless it is supplemented with resistance or immunity to negative energy, such as that provided by _death ward_. Creatures immune to one form of energy and resistant to another (such as an undead creature with fire resistance) gains the lesser of the two protections against wightfire.
