It automatically grapples any creature it hits with its slam attack. Opponents so grappled cannot get free while the ooze is alive without removing the adhesive first. A flotsam ooze does not gain the grappled condition when it grapples a foe. A weapon that strikes an adhesive-coated flotsam ooze is stuck fast unless the wielder succeeds on a DC 16 Reflex save. A successful DC 16 Strength check is needed to pry off a stuck weapon, but each attempt provokes an attack of opportunity. Soap, lye, or universal solvent dissolves the adhesive, but the flotsam ooze can still grapple normally. The flotsam ooze's adhesive breaks down 5 rounds after the creature dies.
