#### special abilities
### Breath Weapon (Su)
Once every 1d4, a hex dragon can breath a line of putrid venom. Creatures within the line must succeed on a Fortitude save or take 1d4 Constitution damage. The effect persists for one round per age category. A Fortitude save can be made each round to resist damage, but the poison can only be neutralized through magic. Hex Dragon Breath (Su): Contact; save Fort DC 12; frequency 1/round for 1 rounds; effect 1d4 Wisdom and Charisma damage; cure —.
### Death Curse (Su)
When a hex dragon is slain, it reflexively unleashes a death curse against all creatures within a radius equal to 10 feet per age category. All creatures within the area must save as above or suffer the most powerful of the hex dragon's retributive curse effects.
### Retributive Curse (Su)
On any round in which a hex dragon takes hit point or ability point damage, the dragon may curse one of the opponents who injured it as a free action. The effects of this curse increase as the dragon ages, though a hex dragon may bestow curses from younger age categories, if it so chooses. Sickness: Target is sickened for 1d4 rounds. Agony: Target is crippled by agonizing pain (treat as nauseated) for 1d4 rounds. Blindness: Target is permanently blinded. Insanity: Target becomes permanently confused, as per the spell insanity. Oblivion: Target is obliterated (as if affected by a sphere of annihilation). A successful Will save negates the effect. The save DC is Charisma-based.
### Vile Resistance (Ex)
Hex dragons receive a +4 bonus on saves versus death effects, enchantment spells, and effects that deal negative energy damage. They are immune to disease and poison.
