Creatures in the area must succeed at a DC 17 Reflex save or take 4d8 points of acid damage. A successful save halves the damage. Alternatively, a digester can spray are targeted stream of acid at a single creature within 20 feet. The targets creature must succeed at a DC 17 reflex save or take 8d8 points of acid damage. Whichever for is used, a digester must take 1d4 rounds before it can use its acid spray again. The save DC is Constitution-based. #### tactics A digester is a hunting and eating machine. When it is not hungry (which is rarely), it lies low and avoids most other creatures. When hunting, it looks about for a likely target, then charges forth and delivers a gout of acid. Digesters may lurk almost anywhere there is prey to be found, from barren deserts to steaming jungles. A digester stands about 5 feet tall and is 7 feet long from snout to tail. It weighs about 350 pounds.
