### Leg Regeneration (Ex)
Foes can sunder a chwidencha's leg, freeing any creature grappled by that leg. The chwidencha has dozens of legs, and removing one does not impact its ability to attack, beyond the loss of hit points. A leg has an AC of 19 (touch 12) and can withstand 10 points of damage. Severed legs grow back within 24 hours.

Commonly called “spider leg horrors” by surface dwellers, Chwidenchas lurk in caverns deep beneath the earth; they are nearly mindless beasts that search out prey to strangle and devour.
Born from those who fail one of Lolth’s tests, chwidenchas are unnatural creatures, their forms reflecting the Spider Queen’s cruel humor. Many drow shun them as a reminder of the fate
that awaits those who displease the Flesh-Carver. But a few priestesses keep stables of these monsters as guardians, which they keep in pits. The foul creatures also dispose of waste (such
as prisoners that have no other value).
Chwidenchas have no apparent gender. They come into existence only through the Spider Queen’s curse or through growth and division (see below), and their wretched lives might drag on for centuries.
Chwidenchas are found only underground.
Though they have no aversion to light, some dim recollection of their time as drow binds them to the communities of their birth. They are extremely sensitive to sonic effects and flee from loud noises.
### Combat
A chwidencha lurks in the darkness and uses its tremorsense to notify it of approaching prey. It usually hides beneath a layer of earth, then crawls out and grapples an opponent. It takes several hours for a chwidencha to devour its victim, so it usually drags the body off to some safe place to consume it. Chwidenchas will attack any living creature, but they particularly despise drow, prioritizing killing them in most any encounter.
Chwidencha will flee from loud, high-pitched noises.
