## Veil-Touched Metamagic (Akashic) *You can channel essence to alter your prepared spellcasting.* **Prerequisite:** Con 13, ability to cast 2nd-level spells, any metamagic feat **Benefit:** You can invest essence into this feat. You can apply a any metamagic feats you know to your spells, and pay off the level increase with essence invested into this feat. Each point of essence used in this manner cannot be reinvested until you regain spells. For example, if you have 3 essence invested in this feat and the [[Enlarge Spell]] and [[Empower Spell]] feats, you could cast an enlarged _fireball_ using 1 of the essence invested in this feat, then later use the remaining 2 invested points to cast an empowered _magic missile_. You can apply the effect of this feat to as many spells as you can afford to invest with essence. This does not allow you to enhance a spell beyond your spellcasting ability. If you cannot cast 5th level spells, you cannot cast an empowered _fireball_, even if you have two points of essence invested in this feat. You gain 1 point of essence.
