# Character Classes While it will take a lot of effort to remake core classes into Pathfinder content, but there are some classes that I think can be adapted. ## Likely for full adaptation - Archivist - Add elements of the cloistered Cleric? - Ardent - Artificer - Binder / Dragon Shaman - Make sure the Medium doesn't bump with this mechanically - Dragon Shaman seems thematically similar, and with extinct dragon gods, Dragons as vestiges seem likely to work. - Binders and vestiges are tied to the Ethereal plane and the repository - Shadow Caster - Incorporate the idea of the Shadow-Weave and corrupt magic? - Tied to the plane of secrets/lies? - Truenamer - The Eruden and their Platonic notions. - The plane of truth? - Spellthief - Wujen (incorporates Shugenja?) - Maybe a less finnicky version of the Kineticist? ## Archetype material - Divine Mind: Similar to the Ardent, but specifically focused on powers derived from deities. An archetype fit for Inquisitor? - Lurk: A psionically themed rogue. Trades rogue talents for power points and the augments, sneak attack for the psionic strike. - Scout: A movement-based rogue archetype. ## Wholly Redundant - Beguiler - Specialist Wizard - Crusader/Sword Sage/Warblade - Abandoned in favor of Path of War - Dread Necromancer - Specialist Wizard - Favored Soul - Oracle - Healer - Cleric / Oracle - Hexblade - Hexcrafter Magus (gains witch hexes, can cast curses through spellstrike) - Incarnate/Soulborn/Totemist - Abandoned in favor of Akashic Magic - Knight - Cavalier - Marshall - Tactician - Psychic Monk/Rogue - Psychic Warrior has paths for these. - Sohei - Warpreist - Spellblade - Magus - Spirit Shaman - Spiritualist - Warlock - Cryptic - Warmage - Specialist Wizard ## Archivist - Probably just include Dragons, Constructs, Fey and Monstrous Humanoids? - Either that, or have three for free and select new ones at given levels - Maybe incorporate some elements of the Cloistered Cleric? ## Ardent 3/4 BAB, Low: Fort, Refl, High: Will Manifest: Wis, 9th **Mantles:** Ardents have two primary mantles and more secondary mantles. These are themed like cleric domains (communication, evil, justice, life, etc). They grant psionic powers to select from and also have an innate ability tied to each. Ardents must have more powers in each primary than in any secondary. These can be swapped every 7 levels. **Assume Psionic Mantle:** Secondary mantles acquired at 2,5,10 and 15. There does not appear to be any limit to the powers assumed, including the ability to select Good and Evil mantles regardless of alignment. Maybe it should be there regardless of the success of the pact? **Abilities:** What the vestige actually does for the player. ## Spelltheif ## Wu-Jen & Shugenja? - Uses spellbook, casts arcane spells, uses Int - Gets +2 caster level and +2 on saves vs. spells of specific element (earth, fire, wind, water, wood) - Watchful Spirit lets you reroll imitative once. - Gets 5 spells that are permanently metamagic-ed (don't need the feat, doesn't modify level) - Taboo: vow-like restrictions that don't benefit you Use Wis instead of Int? Watchful Spirit gets progressively better Requires mental balance (focus), can't benefit from morale bonuses? Warmage Edge? Gain unarmed strike and can resolved unarmed strikes as touch attacks Gentle Touch (Su): Wu Jen can resolve unarmed strikes as a touch attack. Elemental Blast (Su): Wu Jen can perform an elemental blast that does 1d3 + Wis # Archetypes ## Divine Mind (Comp Psi) 3/4 BAB, Low: Refl, High: Fort, Will Manifest: Wis, 6th **Aura:** Divine Minds gain one of three auras. You eveneutally learn them all, but can only have one running at a time. - Attack (+1/5 morale to attack and damage rolls) - Defense (+1/5 morale to AC) - Perception (+2/5 to Perception and Initiative) **Mantle:** Divine Minds gain mantles at 1st, 6th and 12th level. These are tied to specific deities. The powers on the list for the mantle cannot be cast, but are "powers known" and can be manifested once they can manifest powers of the appropriate level. ## Lurk (Comp Psi) 3/4 BAB, Low: Fort, Will, High: Refl Manifest: Int, 6th **Lurk Augment:** As a swift action, lurks can augment melee attacks. Affects only one attack. A lurk can use her lurk augments a total number of times per day equal to her lurk level + her Int modifier. There's a list of augments that's tied to level. Only 1 augment at a time at 1st, two at 10th, three at 18th.
