Yuar’ev Q’nz
Sun Dragon, Golden Standard, Keeper of the Plains, Protector of the Just.
Yuar’ev Q’nz (pronounced YOOR-ev-kinz) is the noble and majestic Gold Dragon of the Council of Seven. She was the first dragon to aspire to true godhood, and is seen by many dragonborn as the "leader" of the Council of Seven. Legend holds that Yuar’ev Q’nz was born not on Temnia, but on Temnia's sun. Her scales shone with the light of the noonday sun, and her gaze was enough to blind those disrespectful enough to meet it. Her breath was pure golden sunlight, and could burn away the most foul creatures of darkness and evil. Because of her extraterrestrial origin, Yuar’ev Q’nz is known as the Sun Dragon, the Golden Standard, and the Protector of the Just.
History
Yuar’ev Q’nz was the first of the Dragon Gods to decide that godhood was the destiney of her kind, and the first to set about the business of shaping the World of Temnia in the image of the Dragon Gods. She would take on the task of taming the ferrel life of the Age of Darkness and Terror, and create an ordered and just society of people to worship and serve the Dragons. To aid in this quest, she sought out dragons of all kinds, including the savage Rak’ar’nazak, the cruel Brik’arsaz and the hateful G’chal’trezk. She had no intention of allowing the life of this world to fall prey to the Chromatic dragons, she respected their power and was confident that she could direct it towards good ends. She also sought out the mighty but flippant Ok’laxithel, the stalwart It’orn Ul’yyk, and the enigmatic V’kax’kalaccs. The vision Yuar’ev Q’nz held was that of a utopic world, where all creatures lived in harmony and peace. Where all served the dragons in reverence and graditude, and served eachother in respect and obedience. This perfect vision of dragonborn society was vexxed by the other memebers of the council. The vain cruelty of the Chromatic Dragons was to be expected, but the recalcitrance of V’kax’kalaccs and the mockery of Ok’laxithel were not. It is a testiment to her guile, wisdom and patience that Yuar’ev Q’nz was able to create a world that is as good as it is, filled with people who (for the most part) have the instinct of nobility, and feel the imperitive to follow it. The flaws of the world and the people that dwell within are largely the fault of the less noble members of the council, but a flawed creation was better than no creation at all. Each virtue that Yuar’ev Q’nz was able to instill in her people is a blessing, deserving nothing less than eternal graditude from all the dragonborn.
Temple of the Golden Sun
Yuar’ev Q’nz is seen by most dragonborn as the leader of the Council of Seven, the greatest of the Dragon Gods, and the single greatest force behind all that is good and proper in the world. As such, worship of the Dragon Gods typically centers on worship of Golden Standard.

Other Worshipers and Faiths
Varyag
One of the more popular and widley adopted gods of the Merlani Free Cities is the sun goddess Yara. She is the giver of life and light, a beauty of such magnitude that to gaze upon her would cause a mortal to be struck blind. She is forever riding upon her golden steed Kensa (which is depicted as a goat with flaming horns and hooves, and the lower body of a golden fish), so that she may bestow her blessings upon all the people of the world.
Ylvani
Cualúr was gifted a sword of pure gold named Uartelen. The sword was said to be incapable of taking life. Those struck with the blade would have their wounds healed, their life restored, and any curse laid upon them broken. Uartelen sheds a soft, warm light that renders foul spirits powerless, and the sword's touch would utterly destroy such creatures.
