## Summary The Senarian Pantheon are the Gods of the Zelcorian Humans.  The Zelcroans used to have a monotheistic god, who demands unquestioning obedience. The four bade the powers to give them the power to usurp or overthrow the Adversary.  In the beginning, there was the creator and the adversary. The creator created things, and the adversary would break them. When they were broken, they would become the adversaries, but he would resent them for being broken, and for reminding him that he was unable to create.  The Adversary eventually grew so jealous that he destroyed the creator, and attempted to utilize that broken power of creation to make things that were beholden to him. This, of course, fails since the adversary taints everything he touches. It did result in the creation of monsters, a series of failed attempts to recreate humanity. It resulted in the creation of a variety of false gods, attempts to get the evil races to love and obey him. It resulted in the breaking of the world as the evil races warred with humanity and nature. It also resulted in any number of bad things that happen in the course of day-to-day life.  The creator could not be destroyed, though. The adversary and the creator were of equal power (or the creator was greater), and so when the adversary “destroyed” him, he instead spread his essence into all mankind, blessing them with the capacity of everlasting life and the ability to reshape the world in their image. It also gave them the rightful dominion of all the land and sea, the beasts of the earth and sky, etc. etc.  Since the creator is “broken,” it is manifested into one of six Gods, each being the sum total of human dedication to and need for these parts of life. The six* came together, defeated the adversary, and cast him into the broken world (mirror world?), a parallel dimension where the unhallowed dead reside. The good dead are subsumed into the Six, insofar as they lived in accordance to the ideal that they represented. Most people would partly become one with the gods, and partly get sent to the mirror world. Someone who was wholly terrible would be cast into the mirror world, and be tormented by the adversary for all time. Of course, people caught in the mirror world are really sorry about their mistakes, and plead for a chance at redemption, which Kemba may agree to, and allow them to be reincarnated back into a living body. Similarly, good people might want to take another turn at mortality for love of their descendants, or to fulfill ambitions they missed in their last life, or to try a life as a maker instead of a warrior or sage or whatever. ## Overview - Zoskar - LG - “The Warrior” - Likely the leader of the group.  - Maybe represented with four-arms? - Domains: War, Strength, Nobility, Glory - Has three artifacts stolen from or tainted by the Adversary - Artefacts represent  Fear, Terror, and Strife… which suck, but are part and parcel of warfare. - Air? - Sanyeme - NG - “The Craftsman” - Basically, anyone who makes things, whether it’s food or swords or clothing is doing so as part of a community, and to protect their fellows. There’s also a ‘hearth and home’ element to it all. - Symbolized by the hammer, needle, cleaver and torch. - Artiface, Community, Protection - Fire? - Burthew - CN - “The Troubadour” - A two-faced god.  - By day, he’s the wandering minstrel traveling from place to place, singing songs and reciting poetry.  - By night, he’s the one escorting the dead to the land of eternal rest and safety. There’s a reason one does not travel at night. There’s also a reason that you don’t challenge the reaper to a fiddle contest. - In addition to being the psychopomp, he’s also a messenger deity.  - Poetry, music, and writing are the ways that we communicate with the dead. - Charm, Repose, Rune, Travel, Liberation - Earth? - Nizeria - LN - “The Sage” - While much of the knowledge thing can be covered by the Troubadour, the Sage is much more about acquiring and consolidating knowledge, gaining insight through observation, and exercising sound judgment. Alchemy and Arcane Magic are the purview of the Sage as well. - Knowledge, Magic - Water? *** - Aakanaka - NN - “The Power” - Unlike the four listed above, the Power is a representation of natural phenomenon, rather than the aspects of humanity. The power is basically the mistress of the Elements. She is represented as two beings (siblings?), but always together.   - The four were granted a boon of earth, water, fire and air form the Power, but the Power has dominion over it. - Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Weather, Sun - Kemba - NG - “Life” - Like the Power, Life is the representation of a natural phenomenon. Life is a fertility spirit who is responsible for the life of plants, animals and people. Depicted as a shapeshifter and possibly in a relationship with the Power? - Animal, Scalykind, Healing *** - The Adversary - An all-around “Dark One” that no one worships, but who represents everything bad.  - Darkness, Death, Void, Trickery, Madness, Destruction - Might be seen as the “rightful” ruler of mankind, but gets tricked into having to wait until people die to rule them. - Maybe they lead a “wild hunt” that keeps the dead who do not ascribe to the Senerians? - Also is connected to an old lady who is responsible for caring for “unbaptized” children?
