It’orn Ul’yyk Silver Sword of Justice, Cold Reckoning, Keeper of the Dead It’orn Ul’yyk (pronounced ih-TORN oo-LEEK) is the stern and fearsome silver dragon of the Council of Seven. He was the largest of the dragon gods. While he did not have the raw destructive power of Rak'ar'nazak or the physical might of Ok’laxithel, he was the their most skilled warrior. Stubborn, humorless and self-rigteous, the Silver Sword of Justice balked at the notion of including Rak'ar'nazak in the Council. He argued that no goal that required the cooperation of such a foul creature to attain was worthwhile. Ok’laxithel, with wisely chosen words, eventually convinced him to remain. From that point forward, It'orn Ul'yyk was the most stridently and reliable ally Yuar'ev Q'nz had on the council. History It’orn Ul’yyk was a towering figure in the Age of Darkness and Terror. Life was a perilous and frought with danger. In the territories of metallic dragons, some level of peace was attainable as the monsters who would prey on the weak and vulnerable feared discovery by the majestic dragons. It’orn Ul’yyk held the largest and safest of these havens. The reverence of the people who sheltered within these lands, and the strength the people gained from this veneration, inspired Yuar’ev Q’nz that the ultimate destiny of dragonkind was divinity. Yuar’ev Q’nz approached It’orn Ul’yyk to propose and alliance between the dragons. Before long, the idea of divine ascension was broached, and It’orn Ul’yyk was intrigued. The ability to reshape the word and deliver it from the Darkness and Chaos that reigned was indeed a worthy goal. Her position of leadership required Yuar’ev Q’nz to concede to distasteful realities and make unsavory alliances, It’orn Ul’yyk remained a stalwart beacon of righteousness, working to keep the ideals of their undertaking in focus. During the Age of the Dragons, It'orn Ul'yyk was by far the most visible figure in dragonborn society. The people feared the wrath of Rak’ar’nazak, or the wandering into the cluches of G’chal’trezk, but these were calamitous fates that befell the unfortunate or unwary. The jugement of It'orn Ul'yyk was a pervasive element in dragonborn society. He, or those who served him, were in all places; ever ready to stand in judgement of those who would act sew disorder or violate the common good. It was beleived that no one ever successfully got away with misdeeds, for all creatures died, and in death all would stand before It'orn Ul'yyks judgement. Any person of flesh or spirit whose character was found wanting would be devoured, and any who tried to tell falsehood under his gaze would be frozen solid for all of eternity. The Church of the Shining Light While Yuar’ev Q’nz is seen as the leader of the Dragon Gods, and the most commonly worshiped among their number, It'orn Ul'yyk's influence on the faithful is almost as widespread. Yuar’ev Q’nz extols virtue as a means of creating the best life and society for all. It'orn Ul'yyk is the arbiter of sin, and the ultimate judge of souls in the afterlife. Yuar’ev Q’nz protects the just and consoles the miserable, while It'orn Ul'yyk avenges the wronged and inspires dread in the wicked. Yuar’ev Q’nz is the paragon of the good, It'orn Ul'yyk is the paragon of the righteous. Yuar’ev Q’nz is concerned with living of life, It'orn Ul'yyk is concerned with ensuring the reward of the afterlife. Those who sail to far north might find themselves hunted by the great white dragon, and if so... they would be lucky if they were devoured alive. According to legend, any tainted soul who was struck with the blade was frozen solid, though it is unclear if that is the power of the sword, or Taurë's power channeled through the blade.
