# Gyt'hala Harmonium Halath-Korr (House of God) Gyth - Halath - ## Government ### The Grand Hierarchy The Harmonium is ruled by the Grand Hierarchy, tiered structure of councils. At the top of the Grand Hierarchy is the Supremarch, the life-long ruler of the Harmonium and supreme legal, cultural and military authority. The Supremarch is selected by the Council of the Wise, known individually as Wisarchs, whose purpose is to advise the Supremarch, and to aid in the execution of their decrees. The noble houses of the Harmonium are divided into the Golden Houses of the Sun, and the Silver Houses of the Moon. **The Golden Council of the Sun** is comprised of the Noble Houses who trace their heritage to one of the prominent Gyt'haan heroes of the founding of the Harmonium. They are responsible for the defense of the Harmonium and its holdings. The Golden Houses trace their lineage back to prominent Gyt'haan founders, while the Silver Houses harken back to Gyt'hiir founders. Most of the noble houses have intermarried over the centuries since the founding of the Harmonium, creating duplicate instances of these houses, such as the *the Golden House of Zer-An* and *the Silver House of Zer-An*. A The Council of the Great Houses represent the common Gyth of the Harmonium. The great houses are ordered around mundane trades and vocations, such as the "House of the Smith," "House of the Miller," "House of the Hunter" or the "House of the Carpenter."
