# Dwarf, Delvar
##### (del-var)
Unlike the Darsun and Aulsun dwarves or the duergar, the dwarves of Quan Shu (known as delvars) appear to have no cultural or linguistic connections to their northern kin. Legend has it that the delvars were formed atop the _Zhi Huto_, the great mountain at the center of the world, formed for the corpse of _Huto_, the living earth. When _Tzin Tusai_ slew Huto, he took what wisdom, grace and dignity there was in the primordial titan and gifted it to _Bing-Mo_, and with it the title of one of the 13 Pilliars of the World. What was left of Huto's spirit, the savage, destructive and dishonorable impulses, were leeched out into the Da-Woru. Bing-Mo sealed these creatures in ice, but the prison eventually broke into three pieces. One fell into a mighty river and was washed into the Low Sea. One tumbled down the mountain it the Valley of Bones. One remained on Zhi Huto. From these three pieces came the three Da-Woru.
The delvars themselves seem to agree that Zhi Huto figured prominantly in their cultural origins, but beleive that they originally came to Temnia from the Sky Home, a place from which they can no longer return, and the mountain was the great road which they travelled to get here.
## Physical Description
Delvars are a short and stocky race, and stand about a foot and an half shorter than most humans, with wide, compact bodies that account for their burly appearance. Delvars skin is typically rough and maintains a cool, almost icy complection. Their eyes are typically a bold and striking blue, clear and cold as ice. Hair is typically a blue or blueish grey, which turns white as delvars grow into old age. Female delvars do not grow facial hair, unlike dwarves. Clothing is typically plain and practical, as delvars spurn embellishment.

## Bone Dwarves
The dwarves of the Chow Tal An forest of Quan Shu are known as "wild dwarves" or more commonly "bone dwarves," both for the palor of their skin, and also for the weapons, jewely and tools of bone they fashion. While they are considered by many to be belligerent savages barely capable of walking on two feet, the truth is that they are merely reclusive hunter-gatherers who make use of the resources available to them.
Bone Dwarves have pale coloration and red or violet eyes. Their feet and hands are larger, with arms long enough to walk on their knuckles. Their shaggy, matted hair is always black as midnight, and grows in thick patches over their jaws, the back of their hands and the top of their feet.
## Delvar Paragon (33RP?)
Bestow Curse 1 per year, against a creature that has wronged them. No range. Maybe delvars have a "grudge" ability that allows them to focus their hatred and defensive training against one person?
Alternate Form (Su): Select any small (or tiny?) sized animal. The Delvar paragon can assume that form at will. As Beast Shape I.
- **Magical Artisan (+3 RP):** Delvar paragons may select one of the following as a bonus feat, even if they do not meet the prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, Craft Wondrous Item, Forge Ring.
- **Master Craftsman (+2 RP):** Delvar paragons receive a +2 racial bonus to craft and profession checks related to working with gems, stone or metal.
## Frost Dwarves
## Swamp Dwarves
The Dwarves of the Low Sea are the most commonly seen in the Dominion. They are among the least of people in Dominion society, often pressed into most dangerous, degrading, or dehumanizing jobs available. Swamp Dwarves have yellow-pink skin, sunken eyes, and long eyebrows that grow down past their jaw line. They have a thin coating of hair that typically covers only the back of their head, and do not seem to be capable of growing facial hair.
