A darfellan stands not much over 6 feet tall and weighs nearly 200 pounds. A darfellan’s most striking feature is his or her jet-black skin, glossy and hairless, broken by varied white markings. The size, shape, and location of the white areas distinguish family groups and quickly identify an individual’s heritage to other darfellans and those who know how to read darfellan markings. They ain +2 Strength, +2 Wisdom and –2 Dexterity. - **Size:** Darfellans are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size. - **Type:** Darfellans are humanoids with the darfellen subtype. - **Base Speed:** Darfellans base land speed is 30 feet, and they have a swim speed of 40 feet. - **Languages:** Darfellans begin play speaking Undercommon and Ocoradal. Darfellans with high Intelligence scores can select from the following: Common, ?,?,?,?,? and ?. See the [[Languages of Temnia]] page for more information about these languages. #### Defense Racial Traits - **Bond to the Sea:** Darfellan gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC while underwater. #### Senses Racial Traits - **Water Sense:** Darfellans can sense vibrations in water, granting them blindsense 30 feet against creatures that are touching the same body of water. #### Offense Racial Traits - **Bite:** Darfellans have strong teeth and jaws that grant them a bite attack (1d6 damage). - **Hatred:** Darfellans have suffered greatly at the hands of the silili'kuul and other marauders of the deep.
