Gyt'iir are known as Blue Hala because of the blue color of their skin and hair. Gyt'iir have red eyes that glow faintly. Gyt'iir are said to be more refined in their ability to control psionic power than the Gyt'hxul, and are physically stronger.  ## Physical Description The variety of shapes and features among the Gyt'iir is almost as broad as that found among humans. The Gyt'iir do not conform to any set of body types or facial features. Their skin and hair color, on the other hand, is quite unmistakable. Gyt'iir have a skin tone in a rich shade of blue ranging from a light cerulean to a deep royal blue. Gyt'iir hair can range from a platinum blonde to a dark midnight blue, which blackens at advanced age. Gyt'iir eye glowing faintly red, though this lessens when they have expended their pool of power points. Gyt'iir males are capable of growing facial hair, but rarely do so as it carries a heavy social stigma. Gyt'iir clothing tends to favor heavy fabrics, stiff lines, and solid colors. Jewlery is rarely worn on the body, but will sometimes accent clothing, such as pins on a coat or hat, or buttons or cufflinks or a shirt.  ## Society ... ## Relations ... ## Alignment and Religion Gyt'hala are a people of dedication and of duty. The see themselves as having a discreet and distinctive purpose, and to deviate from that purpose is to defy the grand intelligent design of the world. While passion may sweep them up in the heat of a moment, given time to reflect upon their actions, they will do what they think is expected of them. Their central place in this design makes them self-important, which can translate into a contempt for others, or into a strong need to set an example for those whose destiny and purpose are not as clear. Gyt'hala strongly tend towards lawful, and weakly towards evil.  ## Adventures Gyt'hala who adventure typically do so to accomplish some defined goal or objective. Few simply seek out the thrill of exploration or the novelty of the unknown. That purpose may be set by an order to which they belong, an obligation to a friend or family memeber, or a specific wrong they feel must be righted, but that purpose is almost always there, and is rarely selfish. ## Naming Traditions Gyt'iir have name pairs that are always used in conjunction. It is one name that is two, joined by a hyphen to denote its connectedness. Gyt'hala find frustration with outsiders, who will call someone named Car-Zenn either "Car" or "Carzen" **Male Names:** Car-Zenn, Lom-Shar, Tag-Net, Shan-Dol, Nor-Marr **Female Names:** An-Dor, Ca-Thel, Re-Nar, Sho-Met, Li-Dan  # Racial Traits (16 RP) ### Standard Racial Traits - **Ability Score Racial Traits:** Gyt'iir are exceedingly graceful, but not hardy or quick-thinking. They gain +4 Dexterity, –2 Consitution, –2 Intelligence. - **Size:** Gyt'iir are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size. - **Type:** Gyt'iir are Humanoids with the gyt subtype. - **Base Speed:** **Gyt'iir** have a base speed of 30 feet. - **Languages:** Gyt'iir begin play speaking Common and Halatza. ? with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: ?,?,?,?,?,? and ?. See the [[Languages of Temnia]] page for more information about these languages.  #### Defense Racial Traits - **Spell Resistance:** Gyt'iir gain spell resistance equal to 6 + their character level. #### Psionic Racial Traits - **Naturally Psionic (2 RP):** Gyt'iir gain the Wild Talent feat as a bonus feat at 1st level. If she takes levels in a psionic class, this feat is replaced by the Psionic Talent feat. - **Gyt'hala Psionics (6 RP):** Gyt'iir can manifest the following psi-like abilities: **At Will—**_bestow power_; **1/Day—**_catfall_, _psionic daze_. Manifester level is equal to character level. Manifester level is equal to character level. Save DC is 11 + Charisma modifier. - **Psionic Aptitude (2 RP):** Whenever a Gyt'iir takes a level in a favored class, she may choose to gain an additional power point instead of a hit point or skill point. #### Senses Racial Traits - **Darkvision:** Gyt'iir can see perfectly in the dark up to 60 feet. ## Alternate Racial Traits The following alternate racial traits may be selected in place of one or more of the standard racial traits above. Consult your GM before selecting any of these new options. - **Alternate Gyt'hala Psionics:** **At Will—**_bestow power_; **1/Day—**_catfall_, _jump_. Manifester level is equal to character level.
