They are of the dragonborn, but unlike their other dragonborn nations, the Tulosh are a free client state of the **Tyrennhian Imperium**.  ## Physical Description Tulosh stand between six and seven feet tall, and are bulky for their size, weighing in excess of three hundred pounds in most cases. Their heads have distinctly canine features, often shaped like a dog, wolf, fox or hyena. Tulsoh eyes are usually brown eyes, but there are some with pale blue, speckled, golden or hazel colored eyes. Tulosh heads and bodies are covered with fine, rough fur that can grow quite long on the legs, face, arms and back. Most have dark grey or black fur, but some have white, brown or golden fur, something with patterning or spots. Tulosh have short tails that rarely extend beyond a foot in length. Warriors often cut off their tails as a sign of dedication to some cause, origination or liege lord. Like other dragonborn, Tulosh have four digits on their hands and feet. Their hands and feet are capped with dull but extraordinarily thick nails.  ## In Society The tulosh have long considered themselves the crowning achievement of the **Dragon Gods**. They count a number of mighty warriors, powerful arcanists, agile scouts and skilled craftsmen among their number, but their primary advantage is their subtle cunning and ruthlessness. This was never more evident than when the Tulosh, faced with the an invasion by the **Tyrennhian Imperium**, chose to sell out their cousin Dragonborn rather than risk fighting a protracted battle on their home soil against the invaders which may or may not have ended in victory. This betrayal has made the Tulosh paraiahs among the dragonborn, but has not won any acceptance among the Tyrennhians. Tulosh society is built around the formation of packs. Tulosh who have grown to the age of majority, they leave their den and all familial ties are cut. They are left to find their own pack within society, and to earn their way into it. Some packs are vast and powerful, joining one of these is prestigious, but advancement is difficult. Other packs are small, but the opportunity to advance to greater. Smaller packs are in a constantly shifting swirl of alliances and rivalries, but the largest and most powerful packs are typically quite stable.  ## Relations The tulosh are contemputous of the other dragonborn, too weak and stupid to have secured their own interests in the face of the Tyrennhian invasion. In return, the dragonborn revile the Tulosh for their treachery and cowardice. Tyrennhians dislike the tulosh as well, seeing them as little more than rabid dogs who have cobbled together the ability to speak words and gather armies.  ## Alignment and Religion Tulosh are usually driven by self-interest and avarice. They are contemptuous of others, but rarely speak of it openly, as even lesser beings can make useful aids or allies. They have a great deal of respect for established authority, unless it is too weak to enforce its will. Tulosh tend weakly towards lawful and evil alignments.  ## Adventures Tulosh may seek a life of adventure for a variety of reasons, but most often it comes down the to pursuit of power. Some join the entourage of dread pirates, influential merchants or powerful nobles, others take up leadership of mercenary companies, while others seek out their own fate and fortunes in the unexplored corners of the world. Tulosh are often seen as fighters or rogues, utiltizing their natural strength and cunning to best advantage. Others ply their innate power as sorcerers or wizards. Faith is trait commonly seen or nurtured in tulosh society, so Clerics are rare, but those that exist tend to be of strongly lawful churches.  ## Names Tulosh names, like other dragonborn, are sourced from the Draconic language, and descriptive of one's physical characteristics. Futher, Tulosh will append their names with a suffix that will indicate the Tulosh's status relative to the person they are speaking to. The suffix _-esh_ would be used to indicate the Tulosh's superiority, the suffix _-ek_ would be used to indicate their inferiority, and _-sha_ would be used to indicate an equal One would never translate their name into the common tongue, as the translation would end up being insultingly non-specific or inaccurate.  **Male Names:** Tal'bayn'esh, Yax'a'tesh, Xash'esh, Kyr'nn'esh, Ul'grat'esh **Female Names:** Gath'esh, Krel'g'esh, B'akt'esh, Tha'kza'esh  # Racial Traits (9 RP) ### Standard Racial Traits - **Ability Score Modifiers:** Tulosh are cunning and tough, but have trouble empathizing with others.
