# Racial Traits (15 RP)
### Standard Racial Traits
- **Ability Score Racial Traits:** Mezu are big, brawny creatures without a great deal of intelligence or couth. They gain +4 Constitution, –2 Intelligence, –2 Wisdom and –2 Charisma.
- **Size:** Mezu are Medium creatures and thus receive no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
- **Type:** Mezu are humanoids with the vaal subtype.
- **Base Speed:** Mezu base land speed is 30 feet.
- **Languages:** Mezu begin play speaking ?. Mezu with high Intelligence scores can choose from the following: Common, ?, ? and ?. See the [Languages of Temnia] page for more information about these languages.
#### Defense Racial Traits
- **Natural Armor:** Mezu have +3 natural armor due to their tough, thick skin.
#### Movement Racial Traits
- **Sprinter:** Mezu gain a +10 foot racial bonus to their speed when using the charge, run, or withdraw actions.
#### Offense Racial Traits
- **Burly (3 RP):** Mezu gain a +1 size bonus to their CMD and CMB, and take a -2 to Stealth checks. They treat their natural attacks and unarmed strikes as if they were one size category larger than their actual size. These benefits stack with abilities that alter size (such as righteous might), but not those that alter effective size (such as improved natural weapon).
- **Horn:** Mezu have a thick horn that grant them a gore attack.
- **Relentless:** Mezu gain a +2 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to bull rush or overrun an opponent. This bonus only applies while both the Mezu and its opponent are standing on the ground.
- **Implacable (3 RP):** When a mezu moves, it can move through 10 feet of nonmagical difficult terrain as if it were normal terrain. Mezu can take a 5-foot step in such terrain.
#### Senses Racial Traits
- **Darkvision:** Mezu can see in the dark up to 30 feet.
#### Weakness racial traits
- **Short Sighted (-1 RP):** Mezu take double the standard penalty for distance on Perception checks. Mezu have a 30% miss chance against creatures with concealment unless they are adjacent.
