Contemptuous of of the "kelps," (humans, elves, and other late-comers to Temnia) and the traitorous dragonborn, the iduua inhabit the wild and untames lands of Temnia, await the return of Tyrmaria, their creator and goddess of rebirth and conquest. ## Physical Description Reptilian scales cover the iduua’s hairless bodies, and their yellow, slitted eyes and sharp teeth give them a striking appearance. They stand tall, often a head above most humans, but are typically slimmer than humans, being lithe in build. Iduua have no ears, and their ridged brows are often what define their face. Most iduua are green-scaled, but there are those of blue, purple, black, or yellow in tone, a trait which is passed along to progeny.  ## In society Iduua see themselves as the greatest and most loyal followers of Tyrmaria, the goddess of the Vaal. They are are resentful to other races whose weakness, treachery, or larceny has deprived them of their rightful place as the rulers of the civilized world. The selfish ambitions of the iduuan noble lines (the ewanti) have served to make worse the wretched state of the vaal people, but the blame for this too is laid at the feet of other peoples and civilizations. Iduua gather in their ruined cities, or in isolated villages and camps, and try to relive ( or in some cases reignite) the past glories of their civilization, but this amounts to little more than banditry and raiding upon other civilizations, before those people march in numbers upon the Iduuan settlement, and scatter their populations into the wild once more. ## Relations Iduua see themselves as innately superior to the younger races of Temnia, and will not abide dealing with them on equal terms. They (and their naga forbearers) claim to have been the chosen of Tyrmaria, discovers of arcane magic, architects of civilization, and naturally the rightful owners of all that they survey. They treat other intelligence races with contempt, and are outraged that this treatment does not engender the awe and deference that is their due. This means that there are few friends of the iduua to be found on Temnia, and what little cooperation they can create is often founded on domination, either magical or physical. ## Naming Traditions ?  **Male Names:** **Female Names:**  ## Alignment and Philosophy The iduua are highly regimented in their thinking, believing that all things have their place in the natural order, and their place is at the top of that order (naturally). People serve discreet and specific purposes, and those are assigned at birth with no regard to the desires of mere mortals. The urge to rebel against one's place is merely another sign that the world has been fundamentally broken. The world exists in it's broken an chaotic state because their god is dead, and either it will not return to order until she lives again, or she will not live again until the world is brought back to the natural order. This view of the righteousness of an ordered society tends to be self-serving, as few iduuans believe themselves to be rightfully destined to serve others, and even those who accept this fact are more likely to consider those who should be serving them, rather than the inevitability that they might have to serve those above them. While most iduuan view the world as a broken structure that needs to be reconstructed, some view embrace the nihlism of what is essentially a post-apocalypse, where their god is dead, and her killers have assumed control over what remains. ## Adventures Many iduuans adventure to seek out lost knowledge or artefacts of the deep past, hoping to find some key to returning the world back to its past state, or perhaps to gain the personal power to settle grudes or position themselves as a leader of a cabal of oter iduuan. Others set out in support of a conclave of an iduuan house or society that wishes to enhance its own power, or to destroy a nearby nearly settlement of kelps. ## Racial Traits (13 RP) ### Standard Racial Traits - **Ability Score Racial Traits:** Iduua are lithe, quick, and intuitive, but cold in demeanor and monstrous in appearance.
